Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Dundee, KS. Start date 09/13/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,414 to $2,609 and no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3 days of 12-hour nights. Work setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This role requires L&D experience and may involve floating to medical-surgical units and pediatric care as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients, including labor support and postpartum care.
- Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate; manage labor progression and administer medications per protocol; respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate as needed.
- Document care and assessments in the electronic medical record; participate in care planning with the obstetric team.
- Assist with deliveries and operative procedures as assigned; support newborn care and pediatric patients when floating to related units.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and ancillary staff; ensure patient safety and comfort; provide patient and family education.
- On-call and weekend coverage: fulfill on-call duties 2–3 shifts per month and every other weekend as scheduled.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (in good standing)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA)
- Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months
- Must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience; willing to float to MS and care for pediatric patients; rural hospital travel experience preferred; EPIC experience highly preferred
- Ability to work night 12-hour shifts and manage on-call and weekend rotations
