Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opportunity is available for an IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician seeking a direct hire position. This role involves preparing sterile compounded infusion therapies and supporting clinical pharmacy services under pharmacist supervision, adhering to state regulations and industry standards.

Location: Baldwinsville, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile IV/infused medications in compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Manage call and shipment schedules to maintain patient care continuity
• Communicate and coordinate clinical information with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams
• Enter patient and prescription data accurately into pharmacy software (CareTend)
• Clean and maintain pharmacy clean room according to policy and regulations
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs
• Keep up to date with continuing education and complete annual re-credentialing
• Receive and store medications and supplies from vendors
• Pick and package supplies and medications for patient home delivery
• Perform inventory counts and assist with formulary management
• Obtain additional technical licensure or registration as required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and valid NY pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year infusion pharmacy experience preferred; candidates with IV hospital tech experience will be considered
• Strong understanding of sterile compounding standards and pharmacy regulations
• Familiarity with CareTend software system is a plus
