Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician specializing in sterile compounding and home infusion services. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality clinical support and preparation of injectable and oral medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Location: Cicero, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile IV and infused medications following USP 797, USP 800, and State Board of Pharmacy standards.
• Maintain accurate call and shipment schedules to guarantee continuous patient care.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams, managing clinical data and laboratory information.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the pharmacy software system accurately and efficiently.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room according to policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and stay up to date with continuing education and re-credentialing requirements.
• Receive, store, pick, and package medications and supplies for home delivery.
• Conduct inventory counts and support formulary management.
• Obtain additional technical licensure or registration as needed within the service area.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an infusion setting preferred; hospital IV technician experience considered.
• Current NY Pharmacy Technician license and valid PTCB certification in good standing.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy software highly desirable.
