About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 1 Year Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid State License Required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Pediatric experience preferred Description: Seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to pediatric patients. Floating between units may be required based on staffing needs. On-call duties may be required based on unit census. Weekend shifts are required, with a schedule of 5 shifts in a 6-week period. Expect patient ratios of 1:3-5. Candidates should have experience in managing BiPAP/CPAP and central line care. Support for breastfeeding and handling of breast milk is also expected. Strong skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are necessary. The daily patient census is approximately 27, and the unit has 35 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes services such as physical therapy and social services. The position may involve caring for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients. Candidates must be committed to working three of the five holidays each year. References covering the past year are required. All requests for time off must be submitted up-front. Inflexibility or refusal to float may lead to contract termination. Communication devices may be provided as needed for the role. Successful candidates will join a team dedicated to excellent pediatric care.
