Shipping ManagerWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Shipping Manager to oversee transportation, warehouse, freezer, and shipping operations. This role ensures efficient product movement, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, food safety, and exceptional customer service while leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesLead all shipping, warehouse, freezer, and transportation operationsEnsure compliance with safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standardsCoordinate daily operations with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Plant LeadershipSchedule carrier pickups and customer deliveriesSupervise shipping staff, monitor performance, and assist with hiring and trainingMaintain inventory accuracy, FIFO practices, and monthly physical inventoriesManage pallet inventory, fleet maintenance, and shipping equipmentCoordinate product holds, recalls, and inventory tracking with Quality AssuranceMaintain a clean, organized, audit-ready operationProvide hands-on support during peak production, staffing shortages, or emergenciesOperate forklifts, make deliveries when needed, and assist with basic equipment troubleshootingBe available outside normal business hours for urgent operational needsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred3+ years of leadership experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distributionFood manufacturing or cold storage experience preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience with inventory control, shipping documentation, and warehouse systemsForklift experience requiredAbility to work in freezer environments and lift up to 50 lbs.Flexible schedule, including overtime and occasional weekendsWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities
