Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Summary:
Provides specialized psychiatric nursing care within a 10-bed inpatient facility. Delivers evidence-based treatments, monitors patient progress, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive mental health services for adult patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and develop individualized care plans tailored to psychiatric needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor patient behavior and physiological responses, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures, including blood draws, maintaining clinical standards.
• Respond to patient emergencies, implementing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont RN license required and must be uploaded with profile.
• Minimum of 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience.
• Proven phlebotomy skills verified within the past year.
• Current BLS certification, with ACLS and CPI strongly preferred.
• Experienced with critical access facility settings preferred.
• Must have own vehicle and include permanent address in profile.
