Sales Account Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESExecutes sales strategy in new and existing territories.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSInitiates contact with manufacturing customers and develops relationships to generate referrals or leads for new business opportunityIdentifies needs and opportunities for inspection projects in a defined geographic territory; develops and implements new market strategiesIdentifies manufacturers and parts suppliers; calls on prospective customers, determines needs and develops long-term customer relationshipsDevelops and delivers presentations; communicates company’s value to customerFollows up with customers to ensure service issues are identified, understood and solvedInteracts with Internal Account Manager on strategy specific to new business developmentInteracts with other sales team members to share leads, customer knowledge, and projects that cover multiple territoriesWorks directly with operations team to review weekly sales plan that includes current business and new business developmentLeads negotiations specific to pricing, adjustments, and disputes that arise with customersMaintains strong knowledge of manufacturing quality and inspection businessProvides accurate forecasts through reporting to management with the use of Salesforce.comEnsures and maintains compliance with quality requirements and ISO proceduresCompletes required training classesAll other duties and responsibilities as may be assignedQUALIFICATIONSDegree in Communications, Marketing, Business or equivalent degree preferred3 Years territory sales experience preferred in a service or manufacturing marketExcellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skillsExcellent conflict resolution and negotiation skillsKnowledge of SalesForce.com softwareProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAvailable to work assigned hours based on business needsFor internal candidates, have satisfactory job performance (not on a corrective action)Additional Requirements:Dependent upon customer and regional location, the following requirements may apply:Reliable transportationValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to travel to customer facility on short noticeAmount of Travel Required – 25-50%; primarily day travelActivityFrequencyActivityFrequencyStandOLift/CarryOWalkO10 lbs or lessFSitF11 – 20 lbsFUse of Hands/FingersF21 – 50 lbsNReaching OutwardO51 – 100 lbsNReaching Above ShoulderOOver 100 lbsNClimbNPush/PullOCrawlN12 lbs or lessFSquat/KneelN13 – 25 lbsFBendN26 – 40 lbsNWorking at ComputerF41 – 100 lbsNN (Not Applicable)Activity is not applicable to this occupation.O (Occasionally)Occupation requires this activity up to 33% (0.5 - 2.5+ hrs/day)F (Frequently)Occupation requires this activity up to 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)C (ConstantlyOccupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
