Mental Health Practitioner

Job Summary: EveryStep is seeking a mental health practitioner to provide community-based mental health services within the Healthy Start and EveryStep programs. This role involves assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and case management for individuals and families facing challenges during pregnancy and parenthood. The practitioner will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring culturally responsive care and facilitating access to community resources. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions. Maintain accurate documentation and respond to participant inquiries. Collaborate with community resources and provide caregiver support. Engage in ongoing professional training and advocacy for access and equity. Qualifications: Masters level mental health degree and licensure in Iowa. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of child development and community resources. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
