Is an expert in all aspects of branch operations and member service including SSFCU products and services. Maintains a member centric focus through a consultative sales approach by proactively identifying and meeting needs with beneficial financial solutions through education and SSFCU products and services. Supports sales efforts with integrity and guidelines set forth by SSFCU. Ensures that service delivery to internal/external members is performed in an expedient, enthusiastic, courteous, and professional manner by effectively providing solutions, resolving issues at point of contact, owning the situation, and following up creating a positive member and employee experience. Supports branch management and team to ensure all credit union goals and objectives are achieved. Assists Branch Management by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch. Provides subject matter expertise and advanced support on branch operations, branch auditing and branch compliance. Provides direct support to management team by performing operational and leadership functions to enhance branch and employee performance. Review and research high risk transactions to perform override authority. What We Require: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum four (4) years of financial institution experience in Member Service or Cash Operations or comparable experience in cash handling, customer service, or sales experience, or supervisory experience. For internal applicants, refer to the Member Service Career Path. Intermediate leadership skills. Able to work in a high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities. Outstanding professional demeanor with strong ability to communicate with internal/external members both verbally and written in a confidential manner. If approved by senior leadership mortgage, insurance and investment licensing may be authorized. At management discretion employee may be required to complete, within 180 days of the request, federal registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) as required by the Secure and Fair Enforcement of Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act). If registered, must maintain active registration, and comply with all requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act, including but not limited to, providing their unique identifier, and ensuring the Registry is updated with significant changes (i.e., name changes and reportable changes to legal or regulatory actions) within 30 days and must update employment and personal information in the Registry as required. If required to register as an MLO, must successfully pass, within 180 days of employment in this role, a background check against the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Excluded Parties List (EPL), the HUD Limited Denial of Participation List (LDP List), and the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s (FHFA) Suspended Counterparty Program (SCP) list as required by the Secondary Market (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac). Must maintain ability to pass any subsequent background checks against these lists and comply with all their requirements. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Fundamental leadership qualities. Expert knowledge of financial institution operations and procedures. Extensive computer skills in electronic communication, ability to search for information on internal intranet, and utilizes electronic resources and equipment. Strong ability to utilize knowledge and resources to effectively solve problems and make sound decisions. Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Self-starter and ability to work independently. Strong product knowledge, ability to identify member needs, and consultative sales skills.
