Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities to improve mobility
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety
- Document patient responses and maintain accurate clinical records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Current California PTA license or ability to obtain before start
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
- BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
