Strategic Finance ManagerThis is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional who wants to help build and shape the financial function of a rapidly growing international business. You will work closely with founders and senior leadership, providing the financial clarity needed to support growth and strategic decision-making. The role combines financial controls, accounting operations, reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. You will evaluate results across properties, cities, countries, and business units while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs. You will also help introduce automation and AI into finance processes, partnering with technology teams to eliminate manual work. With broad exposure and significant ownership, this role offers a strong pathway toward senior finance leadership.Accountabilities:Lead and continuously strengthen financial controls and management reporting, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, validated, and supported by reliable evidence.Reconcile payments from booking platforms, direct reservations, distribution partners, and other commercial channels, ensuring expected funds are received accurately and on time.Reconcile bank accounts and incoming transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure all financial activity is properly recorded.Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, review supplier invoices and company expenses, and maintain strong financial discipline.Coordinate statutory filings and corporate compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners.Prepare or support financial statements for landlords and property owners when required.Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and management reports that provide clear visibility into financial and operational performance.Analyze financial results across individual properties, cities, countries, and business units to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making.Monitor cash flow and support leadership with funding, capital planning, and future financial requirements.Identify financial risks, discrepancies, revenue leakage, and opportunities to improve margins and profitability.Partner with operational teams to understand, control, and reduce property-level costs.Identify repetitive and manual finance processes and work with engineering or technology teams to automate and improve them.Contribute to financial due diligence related to acquisitions, investments, and expansion into new markets.Communicate financial findings, recommendations, and actionable insights directly to founders and senior management.RequirementsStrong analytical capabilities and confidence working with complex financial and operational data.Exceptional attention to detail and a consistently high standard of financial accuracy.Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliation, and financial analysis.Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies and develop practical solutions.Commercial mindset, with the ability to go beyond reporting numbers and understand their impact on business performance.Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.Ability to work independently, navigate unfamiliar challenges, and take initiative without requiring constant direction.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence working directly with senior leadership.Genuine interest in technology, automation, and AI, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve finance processes.Ambition to grow into broader responsibilities and take on increasingly strategic ownership within the finance function.Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate, or a high-growth startup is highly valuable.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or another analytical discipline is preferred, while exceptional candidates from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply.BenefitsCompetitive salary with performance-based incentives.Opportunity to work in a rapidly growing international business at the intersection of real estate, hospitality, and technology.Direct exposure to founders and senior leadership.Hands-on experience with financial operations spanning multiple countries and markets.Significant ownership and responsibility from the start.Opportunity to help build and shape the finance function rather than simply inherit established processes.Exposure to strategic decisions involving profitability, expansion, investments, acquisitions, and capital planning.Opportunity to leverage automation and AI to modernize finance operations.Strong long-term career progression, with potential to grow toward Head of Finance or a CFO-track position.Remote work opportunity.
