General Laborer – 2nd Shift: Sterling, Illinois
Our customer in Sterling, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting General Laborers to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for loading and unloading loads for shipment, assist with operating machines, and ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities of the General Laborer:
- Loading, unloading, painting, preparing loads for shipment, assisting with operating machines, and building pallets.
- Properly use hand tools, saws, nail guns, paint brushes, scrapers, etc., safely, and prepare or move products for the next process or for shipping.
- Operate the overhead crane.
- Maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe, hazard-free working environment.
- Janitorial duties as assigned.
- Participate in inventory as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
- Training for additional tasks and/or upgraded job roles.
General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a factory or production environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Able to wear a respirator and other PPE as required
Pay for General Laborer: Starting at $22.42/hour.
