We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a manufacturing organization in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in dynamic, fast paced, environments with a growing company. This role needs high volume invoice processing experience, attention to financial accuracy, and confidence working with payment transactions. The person in this role will help maintain efficient accounts payable operations while ensuring vendor payments and coding activities are handled correctly and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices, assign the appropriate account codes, and prepare them for accurate entry into the accounts payable process.

• Process vendor payments through multiple methods, including ACH transactions and scheduled check runs, while meeting established deadlines.

• Verify invoice details against supporting documentation to resolve discrepancies and reduce payment errors.

• Maintain organized payment records and supporting files to ensure documentation is complete and easy to retrieve.

• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address payment questions, missing information, and invoice-related issues.

• Monitor accounts payable activity to help keep transactions current, accurate, and aligned with company procedures.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Hands-on experience coding invoices and assigning charges to the correct accounts.
• Working knowledge of ACH payments, check processing, and standard accounts payable workflows.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Comfortable handling a steady volume of invoices while managing priorities effectively.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
