Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) professionals are sought for a facility located in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing specialized critical care for adult patients with complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions, including ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplants. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with dedicated support staff and advanced technology.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU with cardiovascular patient care; active license to submit; willing to wait for licensing; location outside 50 miles from the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: CRRT experience is required; CCRN certification would be a plus.
• Unit Information: CVICU with 28 beds; nurse ratios 1:2 and 1:1; common patient diagnoses include cardiac, vascular, thoracic surgeries, ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplants.
• Staffing and Operations: One charge nurse and two house supervisors on shift; intensivist and advanced practice providers available 24/7; RNs must be able to read ECG strips and recognize rhythm changes; tele monitoring available, with staff trained to interpret strips.
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs.
• Orientation: One-week specific to unit.
• Additional Notes: The unit operates in an acute care setting with EPIC charting system; trauma level not specified.
