Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorJob Description ImageTek/Montrose, a rapidly expanding contract manufacturer in Putnam, CT, is looking to add a Quality Inspector to our growing team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products and overseeing operations for a company to ensure they meet production standards.Responsibilities:Assist with establishing quality standards for products the company produces within in ISO 9001 GuidelinesRead specifications to ensure that operations meet production standardsPrepare samples for testingRecommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processesInspect and test the materials and products producedUse equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, etc. to measure productsRemove and reject products that do not meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product qualityAccept or reject finished products and discussing inspection results with the production teamPerform inspections at random to assess product qualityPerform other duties, within reason as requested by ManagementBasic Qualifications:Analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailTechnical skills and ability to understand Procedures, Work Instructions, documents and manualsKnowledge of basic math and computer skillsAbility to communicate and influence others to follow rules and regulations within both the Quality and Manufacturing DepartmentsStrong leadership skills and teamwork mentalityVerbal and written communication skillsDexterity, physical strength and physical staminaImageTek provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind, regardless of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
