Account Overview Havenwyck Hospital and Metropolitan Behavioral Health are Joint Commission–accredited and licensed psychiatric hospitals located in Auburn Hills and Dearborn, Michigan. They provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults and aim to foster strength, confidence, and self‑care among patients. Position Summary The Community Liaison serves as the primary liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. Responsible for creating demand for the facility’s outpatient services through ethical marketing and sales methods, the Community Liaison presents a professional public image, manages assigned territory, and works toward departmental and facility outpatient goals. Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities Effectively demonstrate and implement Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards. Act as liaison between the facility and referral sources, implementing service‑oriented action plans responsive to referral source needs, serving as community representative, and conducting facility tours for key stakeholders. Attend and actively participate in the Outpatient team meeting, providing marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Outpatient Services. Maintain documentation of assigned top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client and competitive profiles, and updates as required by the Director of Business Development. Build and maintain positive relationships with existing referral sources and identify additional sources. Maximize field‑based time while maintaining a daily average of 10 face‑to‑face contacts with referral sources regarding facility programs, treatment philosophies, and clinical outcomes. Document all marketing contacts daily in Servis.AI. Develop and communicate appropriate sales messaging for each program and target audience. Identify and build a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within assigned territory, incorporating relevant research findings. Assess, develop, and implement sales activities approved by the Director of Business Development to achieve maximum market penetration among assigned accounts and identify potential accounts in targeted market segments. Maintain current awareness of industry trends and use information to adjust weekly sales action plans and provide recommendations to overall outpatient planning strategies. Facilitate timely and accurate communication, encourage cooperation, and use problem‑solving skills to build and secure relationships among the facility, referral source, patient, family, and community. Complete required reports and information requests in a timely manner, including expense reports, sales call plans, and post‑call follow‑up reports. Participate in off‑hour sales and community activities as required. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of each facility’s programs and services, including outpatient programs, assessment processes, and transportation services. Maintain knowledge of facility admission and exclusion criteria. Stay informed about the economic and business status of the behavioral health market in West Michigan and provide relevant information to the Outpatient Director. Assist in analyzing competitors within West Michigan, including programs, bed availability, SWOT, go‑to‑market strategy, and parent company. Maintain a working knowledge of referral target markets and status of specific target market segments. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred. 3–5 years of related work experience required; 5–8 years preferred. Demonstrated business development concepts and sales abilities. Knowledge and skills in applying marketing and sales principles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Competency in computer usage and Microsoft Office suite. Required Travel 80–90% local.
