We're seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of a busy rental branch while developing the skills needed to lead a successful operation. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in business, construction equipment, heavy equipment, diesel technology, or operations management who are looking to build a long-term career in leadership. Responsibilities Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the branch. Help drive exceptional customer service and maintain strong customer relationships. Assist with business planning, budgeting, and branch financial performance. Review operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity and profitability. Support rental operations including inventory management, equipment availability, and customer satisfaction. Assist with employee scheduling, coaching, training, and team development. Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety procedures. Work alongside sales and operations teams to support business development initiatives. Develop a strong understanding of branch operations, including sales, customer service, fleet management, and administrative functions. Build relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments. Participate in ongoing leadership and professional development training. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Leadership experience through work, internships, military service, student organizations, or supervisory roles is an asset. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Mechanical aptitude or experience with construction equipment, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or the equipment rental industry is preferred. Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair is considered an asset. Valid driver's license required. Willingness to travel up to 30%. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work around construction equipment, machinery, chemicals, and industrial environments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Why Join Us?
