Position Summary

STAFFXPERT is seeking an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer with strong Python development experience for a long-term contract opportunity in the San Jose/Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support end-to-end integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) .
• Build cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise integration solutions.
• Develop robust Python applications, scripts, microservices, and automation utilities .
• Use Python for complex payload transformations, data validation, API orchestration, and automated operational processes.
• Design and maintain secure REST and SOAP APIs using OIC adapters and integration services.
• Integrate Oracle Cloud ERP and HCM applications with third-party systems and custom applications.
• Work extensively with OIC adapters including ERP, HCM, Database, FTP, REST, and SOAP .
• Develop solutions utilizing FBDI and HDL integration patterns .
• Work with BI Publisher reports and Oracle Cloud data interfaces.
• Identify integration bottlenecks and optimize orchestration flows, message processing, APIs, and database queries.
• Implement comprehensive error handling, monitoring, alerting, logging, and troubleshooting mechanisms.
• Support production integrations and perform root-cause analysis for integration failures and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, integration designs, mappings, and support documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, functional consultants, architects, and other technical teams.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production-support activities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on OIC and Python development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise software integration experience.

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience working with both Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Python .
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud .
• Strong professional-level Python development experience .
• Experience with OIC components including:
  • Integrations
  • Process Automation
  • Visual Builder
  • REST/SOAP integrations
  • Database Adapter
  • FTP Adapter
  • Oracle ERP Adapter
  • Oracle HCM Adapter
• Experience with FBDI and HDL integration patterns .
• Experience developing and supporting BI Publisher reports .
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, and API orchestration .
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience.
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data.

Python Requirements

Candidates should have strong hands-on Python programming experience, including:

• Python scripting and backend development
• Data parsing and transformation
• JSON and XML processing
• Data validation and reconciliation
• API development and integration
• Automation scripting
• Experience with libraries such as Pandas
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI and/or Flask
• Developing Python microservices and reusable integration utilities

DevOps & Cloud Experience

• Experience with Git/version control .
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and application deployment.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is highly desirable.
• AWS experience is also desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud ERP and/or HCM integration experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture and design patterns.
• Experience troubleshooting high-volume enterprise integrations.
• Performance tuning and integration optimization experience.
• Experience developing reusable integration frameworks and automation tools.
