We’re looking for an

Accounts Receivable Collection Associate

to join our team on Long Island. We are an established real estate owner/management company in business for 85+ years with properties in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Scarsdale and the Bronx. Candidates must be self-driven, reliable and resourceful. Strong computer skills, proficient writing skills and strong communication skills are a must. This is an incredible opportunity for an extremely organized individual that thrives in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking, the ability to time manage, work independently or with a group, and transition from task to task with ease Duties include receiving rental payments and posting amount to customer's account; preparing credits when necessary, and keeping records of collection and status of accounts.

Job Responsibilities: · Reconcile and notify individuals (current tenants and post eviction tenants) of delinquent accounts by mail, email and/or telephone. · Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment. · Interface with various internal such as legal, leasing, and field managers, as well as outside vendors. · Confer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of contracts. · Locate and monitor overdue accounts, using computers and a variety of automated systems. · Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts. · Record information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts. · Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering correspondence and phones, and writing reports. · Perform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address changes
