Robotics Data Collection Operator, Shift Lead - Santa Clara

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA office. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

The role is full-time, with working hours between 7 AM and 3 PM PT or with working hours between 3 PM - 11 PM PT, Monday through Friday, depending on the candidate’s availability and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a peer lead during assigned shifts by helping coordinate day-to-day data collection work, supporting and coaching teammates, answering questions, and escalating issues as needed to keep the team running smoothly.

• Manipulate robotic arms to perform a variety of assigned tasks while collecting accurate, high-quality data used to support AI and robotics development.

• Create and follow task prompts, troubleshoot issues, and use problem-solving skills to improve task execution and data quality.

• Use creativity to explore different approaches, scenarios, and task variations to help generate and valuable datasets.

• Learn from engineers across AI, software, test, mechanical, electrical, and related disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older. This is an ideal role for recent STEM university graduates, or students enrolled in a STEM-related degree program.

• Demonstrated interest in robotics and/or engineering through school, personal projects, clubs (FIRST, VEX, Science Olympiad, etc.), or hobby work.

• Demonstrated experience leading a shift or team (e.g., shift lead, key holder, or peer coach/trainer) in retail, food service, or a similar fast-paced setting.

• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others.

• Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.

• Must be able to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA, for either the day shift (40 hrs/week) or evening shift (40 hrs/week).

• Must have reliable transportation to the Santa Clara, CA office onsite.

• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in robotics or engineering through school projects, personal builds, or clubs like FIRST, VEX, or Science Olympiad.

This full-time role is paid hourly at $22-$23/hr. This is an hourly, non-exempt position and is eligible for company-sponsored health benefits after 90 days of employment.
