Description

FULL TIME/ 10-MONTH

School Health Aide supports students' health and well-being during the school day under the direction of a school nurse or other qualified healthcare professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid and care for minor injuries and illnesses.

• Assist students who have health conditions, disabilities, or special medical needs.

• Administer medications according to school policies and authorized instructions.

• Monitor students for changes in health or behavior and report concerns to the school nurse or appropriate staff.

• Assist in maintaining accurate health and medical records while protecting student confidentiality.

• Assist with health screenings, immunization records, and other school health activities.

• Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians, teachers, school nurses, and administrators.

• Follow emergency procedures and assist during medical emergencies.

• Support a safe and healthy school environment.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience working with children is preferred

• Previous experiences in healthcare is advantageous

• Current CPR Certification required

• Current First Aid Certification required

• Valid Arizona IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card required

Knowledge of:

• Principles of health and wellness conditions

• Utilizing a computer and related software applications and office equipment;
