Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a student support role within a school setting is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to effectively support students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs or 504 plans
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents
- Reliable, flexible, and compassionate approach when providing one-on-one or small-group assistance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or specialized paraprofessional certification is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering instruction and classroom activities, adapting materials and strategies as needed
- Provide individual and group support to students, helping reinforce lessons and encourage participation
- Monitor student progress and behavior, offering positive encouragement and intervention when appropriate
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development as requested
