Senior Android Software Engineer

Salary: $149,600 - 308,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 5+ years of professional Android experience, either in product or platform roles, building consumer- or business-facing products at scale.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• We expect strong command of Android best practices and modern development, especially Kotlin and/or Java, including activity lifecycle management, memory optimization, and modular app architecture.
• We need solid experience with Gradle, CI/CD, automated testing, and tools such as Buildkite and Android Studio.
• We value a consistent track record of writing dependable, maintainable code that can be used by large engineering organizations.
• We look for demonstrated use of AI/ML tools to improve speed and quality, paired with a critical mindset for validating outputs.
• We expect strong ownership, safety awareness, and accountability, including protecting data, questioning assumptions, and retaining responsibility for final deliverables.

• We lead and contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and A/B testing through architecture, development, and release of scalable features and frameworks.
• We drive technical initiatives that create value for both users and engineers, including modularization, scalable architecture, advanced media handling, dependency injection, and reusable UI components.
• We maintain and raise the bar for code and system quality across foundational and shared components.
• We work with modern engineering practices and tools, including AI-assisted development, build and test automation, and comprehensive CI/CD pipelines.
• We support and mentor teammates, deepen our expertise, and deliver high-impact work across both mobile product and platform areas.
• We use AI thoughtfully to speed up drafting, prototyping, and design validation while applying sound judgment and verification.
• We safeguard sensitive information, uphold integrity, and stay accountable for our decisions and deliverables.
