Overview Full Time Opening!* City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Sentara Therapy Center Sports & Ortho is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist Full Time Opening!* The Clinical Exercise Specialist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of licensed leader. Provides quality exercise and health education for patients, assuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. Productive and efficient in daily operations. Establishes and updates the exercise program to address the Client/participant's needs. Supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring client/participant safety. Provides effective instruction to Clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Supports the health education needs of the center. Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans. Documents patient response to treatment. Completes other clinical duties as assigned. Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services. Education Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology. Experience 1 year of clinical experience preferred. BLS is required within 90 days of hire. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.84 - $36.02 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
