Lead Java Developer – Data ManagementThe Java Development Lead role will join a growing team of full stack, backend developers and will help lead data integration projects for Northern Trust’s Entitlements Program applications. The role will need to guide and coordinate other developers on coding best practices and participate in resource planning for ongoing tasks and projects.8+ years of experience in JEE technology stack. Back End Development capabilities supporting Database, server side development, and CI/CD integration7+ years of experience with SpringBoot, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Spring cloud, and Sprint security7+ years of experience in Microservices development using Spring Boot. Understanding of key components of a micro services architecture on PCF platform and preferable experience with Eureka, Config and Zuul serversExperience with Oracle, and SQLServer writting & tuning Stored ProceduresExtensive Experience with JMS Queueing technologies Solace MQ & KafkaExtensive experience with WebService development (SOAP/REST)Very Strong messaging systems knowledge, either Solace MQ & Kafka using Spring IntegrationExtensive experience writing Junit test cases, Mockito and PowerMockNice to have UI developement using ReactJS and knowledge of older UI technologies AJAX, thymeleaf, JQuery & JavascriptExperience in JSON & XML data processing and transformationExperience with Business Workflow Management systemsExperience with Swagger & Chaos MonkeyExperience with Legacy JEE technologies EJB, JSPs.Practical knowledge of Git flow and GitHub flow branching strategies.Familiar with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines: Jira, GitHub, Bamboo, Nexus, SonarQube, Checkmarx, etc.Experience with ELK stack, Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana is a plus.Part of a very motivated Scrum teamEngage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative solutionsDesign and develop solutions following established frameworks, application development standards and quality processes in projectsAssess the impacts on technical design because of the changes in functional requirementsGain knowledge and control of client integration endpoints (live API’s, Batch, Queue based processing)Will work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team contributing and collaborating with the scrum team on a daily basisParticipate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)Mentor junior developers, which may include performing code reviews.
