Product Engineer - Forklift Charging Systems (Indefinite US Work Authorization Required)

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, collaborating cross‑functionally, and transforming customer needs into reliable, manufacturable products. You will guide products through the full development lifecycle—from concept and prototyping through validation and production release.Lead engineering activities for new charging systems, including system architecture, component selection, circuit design, and integration.Develop and maintain product specifications, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.Design and support AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems, high‑frequency chargers, and industrial charging equipment.Evaluate prototypes and oversee performance, validation, and certification testing (UL, CSA, CE, IEC).Analyze test data, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and safety.Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful product launch.Monitor competitive products and emerging technologies; provide technical recommendations.Plan and manage development tasks, schedules, design reviews, and risk assessments.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field5+ years in product development; 2+ years with power electronics, industrial equipment, or charging systemsHands-on experience with electrical test equipmentAbility to create and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentationStrong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to travel occasionally (0–5%) with reliable local transportationAbility to handle physical and mental demands akin to most office positions: prolonged periods of sitting; prolonged use of computer/keyboard; infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs; occasional use of office equipmentPreferred Qualifications:Project management or supervisory experienceExperience with industrial battery charging systemsStrong knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC power electronicsFamiliarity with lithium‑ion and lead‑acid battery systems and standardsExperience with embedded controls, firmware integration, and CAN communicationWork Authorization:Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
