WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Sales Coordinator, Risk Strategy supports stop-loss new business and renewal activities by coordinating sales processes, managing opportunity workflows, preparing proposals and supporting documentation, maintaining CRM data integrity, and facilitating communication among internal teams.

The individual in this role helps ensure sales opportunities and renewals progress efficiently and accurately through the sales cycle while providing operational support to the Risk Strategy and Sales team.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY

• Coordinates new business and renewal opportunities by maintaining accurate records, activities, and status updates within CRM platforms.

• Supports the execution of the sales process by tracking deliverables, follow-up activities, deadlines, and next steps for prospective and existing clients.

• Prepares, reviews, and assembles proposals, renewal packages, presentations, and related sales materials for accuracy, completeness, and professional presentation.

• Coordinates communication and information exchange among sales, underwriting, implementation, carrier, and client stakeholders throughout the sales and renewal lifecycle.

• Schedules and coordinates meetings, presentations, carrier discussions, and other sales-related activities, documenting action items and follow-up requirements as appropriate.

• Maintains sales documentation, proposal history, carrier information, underwriting correspondence, and other business records in accordance with established procedures.

• Monitors outstanding tasks and deliverables, proactively following up with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion of sales and renewal activities.

• Supports prospecting initiatives through research, data management, and coordination of business development activities.

• Assists with onboarding coordination for new clients through tracking, documentation, and collaboration with implementation and operational partners.

• Utilizes technology, CRM tools, and other business systems to improve efficiency, maintain data accuracy, and support informed decision-making.

• Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or four-year degree in business, communications, marketing, insurance or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales support, business coordination, client service, insurance operations, account management support, or related business environment.

• Experience supporting sales, employee benefits, stop-loss, insurance brokerage, underwriting, third-party administrator (TPA), or related business operations preferred.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and follow-up activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, carriers, and business partners.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work products.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience working with CRM, workflow management, or other business systems, or demonstrated ability to learn new technology platforms quickly.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and business functions.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.
