Summary

Job Title: Weekend On Call CNA/Caregiver

Reporting To: Nurse or Admin. Assistant

Salary: Scheduled regularly two weekends a month on call to fill in open shifts or call-ins; On-call base pay of $100 for each on-call day; Additional $16/hr for shifts physically worked: Compensation for mileage between patients at $.625/mile

Hours: PRN/On call fill in 24 hours Saturday & Sunday; Any additional PRN hours requested by the employee

Purpose of the Position: To provide CNA/caregiver care for all patients of WBYS when regular staff are unavailable. You must be able to physically work shifts on the weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Fill in shifts as needed to regular WBYS clients
• Scheduling and answering field calls from weekend caregiving staff or clients
• Maintain call logs for incoming and outgoing calls
• When on site assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Monitor and document patient health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients

Requirements

• Experience in senior care or home healthcare required
• Experience in supervising or on-call work in any setting
• Must be able to work computer and learn scheduling software
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices
• Ability to handle physical workload of at least 50 lbs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and ability to travel on site to patients as needed
