Associate Director, Commercial Operations Field Strategy & Execution

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Associate Director to bridge commercial strategy and field execution for its US operations. The role involves partnering with business leadership to translate strategy into operational initiatives, managing field enablement projects, and driving continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into prioritized commercial operations initiatives
- Lead field enablement project portfolio with aligned prioritization, communication, and training delivery
- Establish standards for tracking and streamlined communication across operations teams and roadmap management
- Facilitate quarterly business planning sessions and document outcomes for cross-functional alignment
- Evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for process improvements and technology adoption
Requirements
- 8–10 years in sales, sales support, or commercial operations roles
- Proficiency with CRM systems and field-facing technology platforms
- Extensive program and project management experience with resource prioritization
- Expertise in commercial launch readiness and field operations planning
- Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with business case development
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Compensation: $164,000–$246,000 base
