Pharmacy Billing Specialist
Summary: The Pharmacy Billing Specialist is responsible to provide the highest quality of customer service and pharmacy billing.
- Run pharmacy test claims and work rejections.
- Collect credit card information from members.
- Perform collections duties on past due patient accounts to obtain payment.
- Handle all correspondence related to insurance and patient accounts, contact insurance carriers, PBM, patients and other parties as needed to get maximum payment on accounts.
- Research and resolve accounts as directed by management, making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of recent specialty pharmacy experience.
- Must be fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Familiarity working in a fast paced, high volume clinical, managed care, and/or behavioral health environment is a plus.
