The firm fosters a collaborative and flexible work environment, offering a hybrid schedule with two in-office days per week and remote work during the last week of each month. The team is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to partner closely with attorneys and firm leadership, overseeing day-to-day billing operations and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with firm policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a billing professional looking to advance their career in a prestigious, high-growth firm. Key Responsibilities: Manage billing for multiple attorneys, ensuring accurate preparation, review, and processing of client invoices Review and verify billable time and expenses, ensuring compliance with client agreements and firm policies Maintain and update the firm’s billing system, including client information, rates, and special billing arrangements Monitor and manage unbilled balances and accounts receivable reports, ensuring timely follow-ups Prepare comprehensive client account summaries and financial reports on a monthly basis Address and resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and adjustments by working directly with attorneys and clients Generate and distribute customized billing reports for attorney review, providing insights into billing trends and outstanding balances Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred) 4+ years of billing experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment Proficiency in billing software (Aderant, Elite, or similar platforms) Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and financial analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and firm leadership Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Law Practice Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Coda Search│Staffing by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Get notified about new Billing Specialist jobs in New York City Metropolitan Area .
