Senior Counsel, Investment Agreements | New York, NY

Our client, a New York-based alternative investment firm with roughly $5 billion in AUM, is known as one of the most sophisticated players in its space. They're looking for a Senior Counsel who wants to move from advising on deals to being embedded in them.

\n

What you'll do

\n

\n
• Negotiate and document a wide range of complex investment agreements, including private investments made by the fund
\n
• Partner directly with the General Counsel, portfolio managers, and senior leadership on live deals
\n
• Work independently within a small, high-caliber legal team, and know when to escalate
\n
• Support the daily operations of a fund that operates across several core strategies
\n

What you bring

\n

\n
• 5 to 9 years of experience, including at least 2 years at a top-tier law firm
\n
• In-house experience at a fund
\n
• Hands-on private investment experience
\n
• Experience running negotiations for hedge fund, PE, and/or VC clients (preferred)
\n

\n

\n
