Job Description:

Work Hours/Shift: Full-Time Days

$10,000 Sign on Bonus

3-12's days 630-7p M, Tu, F

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.

Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] Knowledge of MRI procedures [Required] Knowledge of MRI scanners [Required] Ability to learn and grow with new technology [Required] Customer Service skills [Required] MRI Safety [Required] Basic IV skills [Required] Ability to work well in a constantly changing environment [Required] Ability to work flexibly in variable shifts, occasionally including weekends or holidays [Required] Ability to understand medical terminology [Required] Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required] Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required] Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] General computer skills and PACS [Preferred] General physics and anatomy [Preferred] Experience/knowledge of computers/networking [Required] Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required] Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education [Required] Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required] Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required] Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required] Excellent customer service skills [Required] Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel [Required] Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization [Required]

Education: Associate [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience: 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required]

Pay Range: $29.04 $54.02
