Direct Support Professional / DSP

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals. Position details: Monday – Friday, various hours and shifts available. Location: Wilmington, NC (Ogden/Porter’s Neck) and surrounding areas with local community travel. Responsibilities Provide care in the client’s home and community. Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, personal care (bathing, dressing, toiletry, diaper change), and employment support. Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed. Help plan and organize clients’ schedules. Maintain daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record. Qualifications Experience: entry-level; on-the-job training is provided. Education: high school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge: basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols. Skills: interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability. Technology: proficiency with EHR systems or the ability to learn them.
