Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Lima, Ohio. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct, patient-centered care to assigned patients during night shifts. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria, while applying clinical judgment based on scientific knowledge and nursing skill sets. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week. Every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Active Ohio (OH) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Active National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; 2+ years of experience (required); Med Surg/Telemetry work history with skills checklist current to 1 year and pertinent to the specialty (Med Surg/Telemetry); competency with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, including knowledge of titration and application; competency with telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms; critical thinking skills to recognize and respond to changes in patient status; knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and ability to recognize and intervene when patient status changes; strong communication skills.

• Additional Information: The Registered Nurse will assume responsibility and accountability for care of assigned patients and will assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and unit secretaries.
