Overview Assistant Store Manager Location: 3251 20th Ave, SP 230, San Francisco, CA 94132, United States Base Pay: $20.7 / Hour Job Category: Retail Employee Type: Part Time Responsibilities People & Training Act as Manager on Duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc., when the Store Manager is not present. Manage store associates using LIDS Training Programs, establish goals for sales and tasks, and provide regular follow-up in the absence of the Store Manager. Administer disciplinary steps (verbal and written) when the Store Manager is not present. Engage team members by fostering a fun and productive environment and reinforcing how their work supports company objectives. Support a respectful and inclusive team environment, adhering to Lids Brand Standards (dress code, etc.). Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks when the Store Manager is absent. Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to goals for sales and tasks, and provide regular follow-up. Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper operations and procedures. Encourage compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property. Other duties as assigned. Customer Experience Lead and execute selling strategy to achieve KPIs, sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service. Resolve customer feedback and address issues in the moment, including escalations, urgent requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Educate customers about Lids membership programs or in-store offers when available. Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines and maintain store cleanliness and professional appearance per Dress Code. Operations Execute company directives, promotions, and initiatives from Lids HQ. Follow Policies & Procedures Manual to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain store technology and equipment (MPOS, Lids Custom) with daily audits and updates as instructed. Manage store facilities, supplies, and service requests; place repair orders as needed. Open and close the store according to Operations procedures. Product & Inventory Management Protect company assets within policy guidelines. Assist in creating work schedules for proper store coverage and wage control. Manage store inventory including receiving, transferring, price changes, and counts. Organize backroom to maximize efficiency and space usage. Execute layout, visual merchandising, and seasonal changes; manage window activations and mannequin setups. Maintain store VM and stock levels through daily actions (restock, destock, etc.). Adjust pricing signage and promotions during operating hours to support sell-through. Knowledge & Skills Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
