About the Position

Job Title

Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Englewood, Colorado

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic, general surgery, ophthalmology, GI, and gynecological cases
• Set up and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and supplies to the surgical team throughout procedures
• Operate and assist with specialty equipment including Stryker towers, Hana table, Alcon Constellation/Centurion, Lumera 700, Stryker power tools and scopes, and Neptune systems
• Collaborate with one RN per room to maintain patient safety and efficient case flow
• Participate in daily huddle at 6:30 AM and support case readiness for 7:00 AM first starts
• Support instrument room processes and assist with case turnover as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Active BLS certification required
• Active NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification required
• Active DORA (Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic surgical experience including ACL repairs, rotator cuff repairs, knee scopes, and total joint procedures (total knees and total hips)
• ENT surgical experience including septoplasty, SMR, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T&A), and stapedectomy
• Instrument room experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) or similar setting
