Location: 100% Onsite

Job Type: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $26.00/hour (W2)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week

Anticipated Start Date: November 2, 2026 (alternative start date: November 16, 2026)

About the Opportunity

Alphanumeric Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bench Chemist – Level 1 to support laboratory operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level laboratory professional or an individual with experience in raw material sampling and testing who is interested in developing their skills in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established procedures. Previous pharmaceutical or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Please Note: This position focuses primarily on routine raw material sampling, testing, documentation, and laboratory support rather than advanced research or traditional chemistry experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine sampling and analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and environmental samples according to established procedures.
\n
• Conduct raw material sampling and testing in accordance with approved methods and quality standards.
\n
• Utilize laboratory instrumentation and equipment, which may include HPLC, GC, UV spectroscopy, microscopes, automated systems, and other analytical tools.
\n
• Accurately document test results, observations, and laboratory activities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
\n
• Review and interpret analytical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
\n
• Identify and promptly communicate testing discrepancies, deviations, or unexpected results to laboratory supervisors.
\n
• Support the review of laboratory documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), testing methods, specifications, and technical reports.
\n
• Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine operational activities.
\n
• Participate in analytical method validation, transfer, and improvement activities as needed.
\n
• Complete required training and maintain accurate training documentation.
\n
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams to support daily operations and quality objectives.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline, or 2–5 years of relevant experience working with raw materials.
\n
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures and accurately document work.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
\n
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn laboratory systems and equipment.
\n
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Willingness to learn new procedures and perform routine, process-driven laboratory activities.
\n
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured laboratory environment.
\n
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience with raw material sampling, handling, or analytical testing.
\n
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or quality control laboratory.
\n
• Familiarity with GMP/cGMP requirements and laboratory documentation practices.
\n
• Experience using analytical laboratory instrumentation.
\n
• Knowledge of SOPs, laboratory safety procedures, and quality standards.
\n

Additional Position Requirements

\n
• Must be available to work a standard Monday–Friday day shift, 40 hours per week.
\n
• This position is 100% onsite; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
\n
• Candidates must be willing and able to complete required Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) onboarding and training requirements.
\n
• Interviews will be conducted in person.
\n
