Intermediate Care Unit - RN
Schedule: - Shift: Nights - On-call required - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Assignment Details: - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week (312) or 48 hrs/week (412)
Requirements: - Minimum 1 year RN experience - Valid state license required at time of submission - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS - Charting system: EPIC
Roles & Responsibilities: - Monitor and assess patient condition using telemetry and cardiac monitoring. - Manage dysrhythmias and implement care plans for post-MI, post-cath, or pacemaker patients. - Provide care for adult patients with medical issues such as COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and renal failure. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and rehabilitation. - Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
Compliance / Notes: - Orientation: 24 hours - RTO restrictions: No RTO first week; max ~7 days RTO per 13-week contract - Facial hair must allow proper fit testing for any required PPE. - Flu vaccine required; exemptions only for medical/religious reasons.
