Parts Clerk

Position Summary

Navarro Pecan Company is seeking a Parts Clerk to support the Maintenance Department by managing inventory, ordering parts and supplies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring maintenance personnel have the materials needed to keep plant operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain parts room organization and inventory accuracy.
• Receive, stock, and issue maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
• Order parts and supplies from approved vendors.
• Track inventory levels and reorder critical items as needed.
• Maintain purchase orders, receipts, and inventory records.
• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to identify parts requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, availability, and deliveries.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts storage area.
• Support plant shutdowns and special projects by ensuring required materials are available.

Qualifications

• Previous inventory, warehouse, parts, purchasing, or maintenance support experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and plant personnel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Food manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position works in a food processing and manufacturing environment and requires time in the parts room, warehouse, maintenance shop, and production areas.
