The Gatesworth is seeking a Leasing Counselor to join our award-winning team of senior living professionals. Locally owned and nationally recognized since 1988, The Gatesworth is St. Louis's premier independent senior living community, known for exceptional service and an active residential lifestyle.

The Leasing Counselor reports to the Leasing Director and is responsible for all aspects of marketing and leasing apartments at The Gatesworth. This individual will be an empathetic, compassionate guide for seniors and their families, taking a prospect-centered approach to help them navigate the transition to senior living.

Responsibilities:

• Attend daily leasing team meetings to plan for prospect and family interactions

• Conduct tours, home visits, calls, emails, and personalized follow-up with prospective residents and families daily

• Maintain sales activity, follow-up tasks, and apartment inventory in Sherpa CRM

• Collaborate daily with other departments to provide the best possible experience for prospects and families

• Meet weekly with the Leasing Director for coaching and review of sales metrics and goals

• Maximize apartment rental revenue and occupancy per leadership-established goals

• Attend prospective resident events and resident programming as needed

• Manage lease paperwork, sales collateral, and follow-up materials

Qualifications:

• College degree required

• Passion for working with seniors required

• Experience in sales, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred

• Prior senior living industry experience preferred

• Positive, confident, and able to build relationships with a diverse range of people

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sherpa CRM or similar applications preferred

• Professional and clean appearance required

• Full-time, 40 hours/week, including weekend and holiday hours as needed

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday. For the right candidate, we'd consider to Monday-Friday with rotating weekend coverage (approximately one weekend out of every four).
