Job Description
As a Security Officer Badge Desk in Joliet IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures badge and credential verification and other security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points gates loading areas and/or assigned access control stations to help support authorized access and report unusual activity policy violations and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts supervisors and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Document visitor activity contractor access deliveries and/or incident details in logs reports and other required records while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business trailer yards dock areas parking areas and perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
