Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students by supporting their academic and emotional success in a welcoming school environment located in the Long Beach, CA area. As a School Psychologist on a contract assignment, your ability to assess, collaborate, and advocate will foster an atmosphere where every student can thrive.
What you bring:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility in California
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Experience with psycho-educational assessments, behavioral interventions, and IEP development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a solutions-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Develop and interpret evaluations; participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, parents, and administrators
- Recommend and model evidence-based interventions to address academic and behavioral challenges
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, counseling, and preventive mental health support
- Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with federal and state compliance
- Help cultivate a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
