Richmond Manor Hill is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Maintenance Technician I Job Highlights:

• Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. Occasional Weekends. 
• Pay Rate: $20-22 p/h based on years of experience
• Travel to other sites in Maryland as needed

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of full-time experience in building maintenance 
• Proficient in English. Must have the ability to read and write in English
• Able to follow both verbal and written English instructions
• Ability to follow proper safety protocols
• Know how to turn the water valve and electricity off in case of emergency
• Must have reliable transportation. 

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of basic machinery and tools
• Construction experience and/or maintenance of equipment and utility experience

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Make recommendations to Community Administrator on necessary maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and property improvements.
• Perform unit turns , including preparing vacant units for new residents and completing necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Perform basic painting, plumbing, and light electrical work as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure units and common areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Assist with lawn care and grounds maintenance , including seasonal upkeep.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during the winter months to maintain safe walkways and property grounds.
• Respond to maintenance needs and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Available to work on-call to ensure that twenty-four (24) hour maintenance is provided to the properties.
