We're looking for a passionate Sports Lecturer & Netball Academy Coach to join our Sport, Travel and Public Services team on a maternity cover contract, comprising 24 teaching hours until July 2027, reducing to 22 teaching hours until December 2027. Alongside delivering engaging and inspiring learning experiences, you'll lead and develop the College Netball Academy, coordinating training, fixtures and player development programmes. You'll also build strong partnerships with Welsh Netball and other key stakeholders, creating opportunities that enable learners to thrive academically and competitively. You'll join a friendly and supportive team that is passionate about learner success, collaboration and making a positive difference to our communities. If you're enthusiastic about sport, education and developing future talent, we'd love to hear from you. Further information: All staff employed at Coleg y Cymoedd have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners, and all those working at the College are expected to uphold this commitment. As part of our safer recruitment processes, all new starters must successfully complete the required pre-employment checks prior to commencing employment. This includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. For roles that involve direct interaction with learners, registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also a mandatory requirement. We treat every individual with dignity, fairness, and respect. As a Disability Confident Leader, we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and communities, particularly in relation to age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion and/or belief. We are committed to removing barriers and making our recruitment processes as inclusive and accessible as possible. We welcome applications in both Welsh and English. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those submitted in English. If you are a Welsh speaker or learner, we would be delighted to receive your application. Roles at Coleg y Cymoedd are campus based to support teaching, learner experience and service delivery. Postholders may request flexible working, including limited remote working, through the College's Flexible Working Process (a statutory day-one right).
