DR-Snack Bar Attendant - Bear Claw

The Snack Bar Attendant (primary position) requires the ability to handle cash, and operate coffee and food service equipment will be called upon to act as the Bear Claw Cafe Shift Manager (secondary position). Limited food preparation skills and extensive customer service skills are required. The Bear Claw Cafe Shift Manager administers, directs and controls the effective and efficient operation of coffee shop, TDR, and the burger baron a shift-to-shift basis. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Report to work well-groomed in full uniform and on time with badge on upper left side of uniform. 2. Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage to all our guests. 3. Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with all guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language. 4. Following all order taking and cash handling policies and procedures. 5. Suggests products, combos or sizes appropriately. 6. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines in regards to Seneca Nation Health codes and Seneca Niagara Casino Risk Management Department. 7. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 8. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff. 9. Communicates showcase needs to the baker or supervisor and helps merchandise the product. 10. Keeps the front counter area organized. 11. Keeps the front counter area stocked and ready for rush. 12. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 13. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. 14. Attend all necessary meetings. 15. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. ADDITIONAL SECONDARY POSITION DUTIES: 1. Train all associates to perform their job duties to meet or exceed performance objectives for their position; provide tools and supplies needed. 2. Evaluate and directs personnel, provide disciplinary action when needed. 3. Ensure that all products served meet the established specifications and standards. 4. Participate in weekly management meeting. 5. Maintain constant control of situations in the restaurant including handling guest complaints, handling employee complaints, and other problems that are encountered. 6. Report any incidents to appropriate Supervisors. 7. Assure prompt, professional service to all guests. 8. Responsible for approaching tables and speaking with guests to obtain feedback about dining experience. 9. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, filing, personnel maintenance and HR issues. 10. Advise the Room Manager of daily problems and needs; utilize all available resources to maximize profits. 11. Complete daily reports including Daily Manager Report and any Incident Reports. 12. Prepare necessary paperwork, ordering of supplies and equipment needed for an efficient customer-oriented operation. 13. Ensure showcases (refrigerated & non-refrigerated), cake displays, and paper products are properly stocked. 14. Ensure interior and exterior of the store is maintained and cleaned throughout the shift. 15. Communicate regularly with associates and keep them informed on all casino activities and events. Act as a liaison between management and associates. 16. Ensure that staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards. 17. Share accountability for achieving cost goals, labor and expenses. 18. Evaluate staff performance on a ninety (90) day and annual basis. 19. As directed by Store Manager, assist in developing staff. Display genuine interest in developing team members to help them succeed. 20. Encourage excitement and a fun, fast-paced environment for all store level staff. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. 2. High school diploma or its equivalency required. 3. Associates degree preferred. 4. Must have limited cash handling, limited coffee shop and some degree of food production experience. 5. Minimum two (2) years food and beverage supervisory experience preferred. 6. Previous customer service experience required. 7. Must have general knowledge of all phases of full-service dining. 8. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, coaching, team building and problem-solving skills required 9. Must be computer literate, including a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications as well as restaurant automated systems. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability: 1. Must possess excellent communication skills. 2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. 3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. 4. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted. 1. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino. 2. Frequent reaching above waist, chest and shoulder level as well as below waist level. 3. Frequent to continuous need for manual dexterity of both hands (handling, gripping, fine finger control etc). 4. Continuous standing on tiled surfaces for all tasks. 5. Frequent hip flexion while walking for all tasks. 6. Frequent lifting of boxes of supplies / products weighing from five (5) to fifty (50) pounds vertically from floor to knuckle height. 7. Occasional lifting of milk crates weighing between five (5) to thirty (30) pounds vertically from floor to knuckle height, knuckle to shoulder height or from fridge to counter height. 8. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations. Salary Starting Rate: $16.00 Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications.
