Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical unit with medical conditions, including oncology-related symptoms as applicable
• Assess patient and family needs; develop and adjust an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; monitor patient progress and response to treatment
• Administer medications, therapies, and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and implement safety measures
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment plans, self-care after discharge, and when to seek follow-up care
• Coordinate care across the healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, and social services; participate in discharge planning and resource referrals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation; uphold infection prevention practices and safety standards; contribute to quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license (RN)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI), NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to participate in a travel assignment
• Ability to work a 3x12 rotating schedule and participate in a rotating on-call plan as required
