Associate degree, technical certification, or additional manufacturing training preferred. Ability to read production documents, work instructions, blueprints, and product specifications. Basic computer skills required for production documentation and recordkeeping. Experience Requirements 1 to 3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred. Experience operating manufacturing equipment and following detailed production processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards. Experience documenting production data and following ISO or regulated manufacturing procedures is beneficial. Preferred Qualifications Technical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance background preferred. Experience with extrusion, fiber optic, optical fiber, cable manufacturing, or related processes is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, conversions, measurements, and basic formulas. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous improvement initiatives. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, and work throughout a scheduled shift. Ability to safely handle manufacturing materials, chemicals, and production equipment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. Capable of working in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Job Duties Set up, operate, and monitor fiber draw towers used to manufacture specialty fiber optic products. Follow work orders, process recipes, production prints, and workmanship standards to meet customer and engineering specifications. Review materials, specifications, and process requirements prior to production. Monitor production processes and perform quality checks to ensure products meet required standards. Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing process issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Support process engineering initiatives, new product development, and continuous improvement projects. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation. Properly handle, label, and dispose of chemicals and manufacturing materials. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 6S, ISO, and company safety standards.
