Job Title

Travel RN – MedSurg/Telemetry (Nights)

Alexandria, LA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected start date: October 5, 2026 | Every other weekend or 2 full weekends per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Assist with and support procedures including heart catheterizations
• Operate unit equipment including EKG machines, DynaMaps, bladder scanners, vein finders, and telemetry monitors
• Document accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to all MedSurg/Telemetry floors as needed; dress code requires ceil blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Louisiana (or compact license eligibility)
• ACLS certification required prior to submission
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Strong time management skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills in telemetry or MedSurg settings
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a helpful and collaborative approach
