Job Description
# Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN

## Schedule
- Shift: 3x12 (Nights)

## Assignment Details
- Assignment length: 26 weeks

## Requirements
- California RN license required
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience
- Charting experience with Epic
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP
- Patient ratio experience: 1:1 to 1:3
- Unit-specific skills: Labor & delivery, vaginal births, postpartum care, newborn assessment

## Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Assist in C-sections and recover patients post-operatively.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and assist in interpretation of non-stress tests and contraction stress tests.
- Manage postpartum complications and provide effective neonatal care.
- Educate parents on infant care and breastfeeding support.

- Weekend requirement: Yes
- Holiday requirement: Must commit to working 3 of 5 specified holidays
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Pre-approved time off: One request allowed; must not exceed 7 days.
